Shri. Satish Pai graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras in 1985.

He took over as the CEO of Hindalco’s Aluminium Business in August 2013 and his main focus was the ramp-up of the three mega Greenfield projects that took alumina capacity to 2.7 MT and aluminium capacity to 1.3 MT. In February 2014, he became the Dy.

Managing Director of the company and was entrusted with Hindalco’s copper business as well. Satish took over as the Managing Director of Hindalco in August 2016, a responsibility which includes the Novelis business.

Prior to joining the Aditya Birla Group Company – Hindalco, Satish worked with Schlumberger based out of Paris. Over the course of his illustrious career of 28 years with Schlumberger, where he was recruited from campus to begin his journey as a Field Engineer in 19
