Tawfik tun dr ismail biography

The event was occasioned by the publication of the autobiography of Tun Dr Ismail Abdul Rahman, Drifting into Politics: The Unfinished Memoirs of Tun Dr Ismail Abdul Rahman.

The publication of the book was timed to hit the market on 4 November 2015 last year during the 100th birthday anniversary of the late Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Since then, it had been serialised by the mass media in Malaysia and heavily publicised.

Apart from the two co-editors, Encik Mohd Tawfik Tun Dr Ismail and Dr Ooi Kee Beng, the panel included Prof Barbara Watson Andaya and Prof Leonard Y.

Andaya, both Visiting Senior Fellows at ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute. Encik Mohd Tawfik is the eldest son of Tun Dr Ismail while Dr Ooi is the Deputy Director of the Institute.
